RPEF’s outreach continues to benefit migrant and local families in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Our primary focus remains on epilepsy, while other neurological diseases are also tackled. Within the last two quarters, we have had 32 routine electroencephalograms (EEG) performed, along with 45 patient visits free of charge.
We have also submitted grant requests to organize an upcoming teen epilepsy event to spread awareness and prevent injuries.
Teaching and learning together. Dr. Sumit Verma is an outstanding educator and mentor whose warmth, enthusiasm, and dedication leave a lasting impression on his learners. He excels at turning busy clinical days into rich teaching moments and actively nurtures interest in pediatric neurology through inclusive patient care and research collaboration. Dr. Verma’s mentorship spans from college to medical school, guiding students in research, clinical writing, and national presentations.
Dr. Verma’s approachability, professionalism, and genuine investment in student growth inspire future academic physicians and reflect his deep commitment to education.
