Meet With Our Team

Our team is comprised of passionate professionals dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by epilepsy through expert care, research, and advocacy efforts.

Nisha G. Kapil is a public health analyst, employed by Veritas Management Group as a contractor in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for Environmental Health/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (NCEH/ATSDR). Nisha earned her BSE in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science from Duke University and MS in Industrial/Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan. Her work in public health began with an ORISE Fellowship in NCEH’s Division of Toxicology’s Emergency Response section. For over 21 years, Nisha has been working at CDC/NCEH/ATSDR in emergency preparedness and response. She also coordinates the Agents of Opportunity: Medical Management of Chemical and Radiological Emergencies course which has been delivered to vulnerable US cities and internationally as well. Nisha dedicates her time to volunteering and serves as Board President for the Georgia-based non-profit, Raksha, whose work supports healing, empowerment, and justice in the South Asian community. With this dedication to NGOs, Nisha is greatly appreciative of the opportunity to serve on the Board of the RP Epilepsy Foundation to achieve the goals of helping patients and families in need in the neurological disorders realm.

Dr. Verma is a board-certified pediatrician and neurologist with special qualifications in neurophysiology (EEG), neuromuscular (EMG/ NCS), musculoskeletal ultrasound and child neurology. Dr. Verma earned his medical degree MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and his MD in pediatrics from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. He was awarded a DNB in pediatrics from the National Medical Board, New Delhi, India. He completed residencies in the United States in pediatrics, child neurology and clinical neurophysiology. His expertise includes epilepsy, headaches, tics, developmental delay, neuropathy, muscle weakness, and behavioral problems. He is a staff neurologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and associate professor at Emory University School of Medicine. He established the R P Epilepsy foundation in 2024 to care of underprivileged patients and families to provide free of cost neurological care in the Atlanta metro. The foundation focus is early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neurological disorders.

Mansi Arora is a dedicated educational diagnostician with a profound passion for fostering student success and ensuring equitable access to education. She earned her M.Ed in Educational Psychology from the University of Houston in 2004, after which she began her career with Houston ISD. In her role as a special education specialist, she worked tirelessly to assist students with various disabilities, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Driven by a commitment to deepen her expertise, Mansi furthered her studies at the University of Houston to become an educational diagnostician. She now brings her extensive knowledge and compassionate approach to Aldine ISD, where she provides invaluable support to students with disabilities and their families. Recently, Mansi has embraced a new opportunity as a board member for the RP Epilepsy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neurological disorders. . In this capacity, she is eager to leverage her diagnostic skills and educational insights to steer the foundation’s initiatives. Mansi is dedicated to ensuring that the programs and services offered are both impactful and inclusive, addressing the diverse needs of the community.
